The Canadian Dermatology Association suggests avoiding fragrance, synthetic or natural, in skincare and laundry products when skin is dry. That's why every pick below is sold as fragrance-free.

"Unscented" isn't always "fragrance-free"

"Unscented" products can still contain ingredients added to mask a smell. Look for "fragrance-free" on the label and check the ingredient list for "fragrance" or "parfum".

Ingredients worth looking for

The CDA lists ingredients helpful for dry skin, including glycerin, hyaluronic acid, dimethicone, petrolatum, mineral oil, urea and lactic acid.
